Silent Love
As I lay on the hospital bed today after my surgery, I glanced out the window and saw this tree by it’s lonesome just swaying with the wind and it inspired me to write this…

to bow again,
she whispers love,
that morbid thing,
she sways in rhythm,
and leans to wind,
the mother of many,
and a hearts that’s pinned.
With snakes through soil,
and venom of life,
she has only passion,
for nature and her strife.
My breath is hers,
she shares from her soul,
from evil she is blind,
to hearts blackened coal.
She asks for nothing,
should we not show respect,
from her bosom of love,
and not an once to correct.
She favours us all,
equal,
as they tower so tall,
one could call them Gods,
as without them we would crawl.
Her suffering may be silenced,
though she stands so proud,
just swaying in the wind,
with a beauty so loud.
