Wildlife photographer of the year
I just received an email from the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition into which I entered 5 images. Unfortunately I didn’t win anything (I’d be over the moon if I had!) BUT my images are all listed as semi-finalists meaning that they got into the top 3rd of entries. I’m very pleased!!

Home-blindness Syndrome
I’ve always found it really difficult to take interesting photos (or at least photos I find interesting) on my own doorstep. I seem to have a 3 or 4 mile radius where everything – the scenery, the buildings, the weather, the wildlife – is so familiar that I can’t find anything picturesque about it.

More sun!
This last weekend was great as I managed to get out and take lots of photos, as you will see, as I upload shots in the next few days. Snowdrops on Saturday, Glastonbury Abbey and Chalice Well on Sunday and sunrise photos on Wednesday.

I intend to build up my collection of photos on redbubble this year. Things have been quiet since Christmas as the weather in England is pretty dull in January. In photo taking terms this means that I like to either wait for dec…

New images added
I’m going to start adding more of my photos to redbubble over the coming weeks. In time for the start of 2008 I’ve added ‘Feathers of a Peacock’, ‘Holy Sunrise’ and ‘Sycamore Gap’ – some of my favourites taken in 2007.
Welcome to my first blog entry
Hi. I’ve just started adding my photos to redbubble and you can see lots more of my photos on my website at www.spraggonphotography.co.uk .
I’m visiting Cumbria in a few weeks so I’m hoping to get some good photos of the Lakes and scenery up there – you’ll see the results here soon.
I was looking at Andy Rouse’s website…
