Let the song ring out, fill the forest with haze.
Come out of my mind, I’m lost in this maze.
Running, screaming, icy blue tears,
rain-drops are falling, nothing is clear.
The world is insane, it’s spinning to fast,
everyone realise, that nothing can last.
I fell down this rabbit hole, I can’t seem to get out,
I climb and I dig, I scream and I shout.
“White rabbit! White rabbit! Where are you?” I call
“I tried to chase you and now here I fall!”
I grow and I shrink and I think and I cry.
“White rabbit help me! I’ve shrunk to an inch and then grown two stories high!”
But the White rabbit is clever, upon hearing my calls,
he places a key without being seen at all.
I shrink once more, push open the door and step into a most wonderful land
My petty coat torn and my hair a mess dosen’t even matter a strand.
“Curious, curious” I wonder aloud.
“What a magnificant place indeed.”
“I followed the rabbit, all the way here and it’s me that he chose to lead.”
I had tea with the Hatter, the Doormouse, the Hare and we were joined by a smiling cat,
I painted white roses red, argued with a bug and met two boys with the same funny hat.
Wonderland was perculiar,
it really was the best.
And the last thing I heard was the Hatter ask-
“Tell me; why is a raven like a writing desk?”
Alice’s first adventures in wonderland.
