Smoke on a fire,
Reds and yellows mixed with grey.
Down the secret rabbit hole, no words are left to say.
As life becomes a movie, no colours left to drain.
I wish the world could stop for once and take away the pain.
The world is black, the spotlights on;
it hurts for me to say,
that our love never had a chance to see the light of day.
Echoed thoughts inside our minds, as the wonderland starts to fade.
But true to ourselves, we hold our own and play the masquerade.
As our thoughts turn into whispers and the whispers soon are dreams, we fake a smile and tell our friends it was never as it seemed.
This poem is about the mixed emotions hidden in two peoples minds.
