You have to get up very early in the morning and wait for the light to hit the rocks perfectly. By the angle of the light, the sun was below the rocks with the rays coming up. Thank you for commenting.

I’ve lived in Arizona 40+ years and have been to Sedona over fifty times over those years and though the granduer of the Red Rocks is always fantastic, this is the best shot I have ever seen taken of them. Your color and shadow capture at just the right moment made a perfect shot.
