Nice shot. Great colours, silhouette, and sunrays.

Well there is always something that is elemental and humbling about such a sky, with its light shafts cutting through clouds, quite biblical or old testament you might say.
Spiritinme in reply to bobmarks’s comment, 2 months ago
again you say magic words…it needs a bible verse to tie it all in..every good action and every perfect gift comes from God…is what comes to mind, but i will look further…thank you, my friend

Stargazer
I am a star gazer, I stand here looking in the night,
looking into galaxies, bathing in their distant light.
Seeking my direction, from this the heavenly sky,
fleeting life, like a comet, flashed before my eye.
Movement in the heavens, looking to hard do I see,
was that a shooting star or was it just my destiny.
Can I trust my judgement, there’s water in my eyes,
standing weeping in the night, looking up into skies.
The moon is rising now, just to spoil my starry view,
only a half moon, but its reflected light burns through
A baleful face so sad and it’s looking down onto me,
like a soft veil it draws, across stars that I could see.
The precursor to the sun, yet to breach in the east,
I stand looking upward, at what is always out of reach.
Time for bed, now it’s morning, so back to front am I,
living my life in darkness, that sunlight hurts my eye.
In the great galaxies of life, are we really here at all,
living this topsy turvy life, in a world oh so very small.
We share the same seas, but no shore do we share,
would you change a thing, I wonder would you dare.
Spiritinme in reply to bobmarks’s comment, 2 months ago
love dares and I would change….tit for tat an even exchange
love would be my only guide..along with my angels at my side
i would not worry about things to come…i’d live in the moment and in the sun

When my sweet love asked me, if you could change any thing in your life, would you change it, I replied, I have regrets it is true, but change I would change not one moment or it would not have led me to you.
I am a fatalist, every thing we do or say has meaning, even if we do not see them they are there.

Oooh, Cynthia, here’s another great picture. You perform magic with that camera, you know that?’’’Lynn
Spiritinme in reply to Lynn Bawden’s comment, 2 months ago
I call it luck and i am a bit disappointed in this one. you can’t FEEL the moment with this pic, and that is what i strive for…......but with that being said, i appreciate all of your support.

I particularly love the fabulous line of tree sihouettes, so much fine detail, very stunning with the heavy dark foreground and those wonderful shafts of light beaming out through the clouds.

such beautiful comments…thank you

Agreed, it _is_perfect. the trees look wind-tossed, too, and more like little feathers than big, deeply rooted, strong old trees.
