    spif, I do know that Indigenous hunters used a whole array of boomerangs with varying degrees of return and projection. an elder “kakkib” said they had one boomerang they threw horizontally about 2 feet off the ground to break the legs of prey. the strength needed to hurl this thing was phenomenal.
