Dixon Ticonderoga #2 pencil on 100lb sketchbook paper.
A portrait of three young gentlemen from out of my subconscious. As happens often during random sketching, a few lines began to “speak” to me. Just an hour or so later, these three beings had emerged from the pencil noise on the page. A couple of hours after that (spread out over the last month) and their portrait was finished. A crab-whale in a shoddy trenchcoat and garlic hat, a noseless DJ in a hoodie, and a dinosaur with Jeri-Kurl and knit hat with ironic pompom.
I really can’t even begin to describe where my ideas come from, which is truly part of the fun. Saves me bundles on psychotherapy.

I hope you will take a moment to review my other anthropomorphic work here.

Your description is a real hoot! :) You must eat way too much spicy food before bedtime.

  • Thanks Marsha! I never know what to say . . . it’s as if the description is coming from the same place as the art.
