This is a shape drawn from a snag, one of the many wind and sea-driven corpses of trees that accessorize the rocky beaches of Oregon. I am often drawn to faces hidden within naturally occurring objects. The shape at once made me think of the Green Man, madly laughing, except that this was his death mask.
My partner/muse Stacy insists that this looks like my own profile. Yet another “interesting” subconscious manifestation. I can certainly see the “madly laughing” resemblance.
