Pencil on bristol, painted in Seashore. I achieved the marble effect by overlaying the pencil drawing with a public-use satellite image of the Lakes Region in Russia. The beast-man’s profile emerged from one of my favorite drawing exercises: generating random lines on a page and then “pulling” the image out of them.
