All the images are made from my original photographs, out of black and white negative/print scans, colour negative/slide scans and digital camera images.
Photography has been a large part of my life since I began developing and contact printing films from the family box camera when I was 13 years old.
I worked proffesionaly throughout the 1960’s, first in the darkrooms of the local paper, then as a photographer for a freelance agency.
I had a change of carreer in the early seventies, from which I took early retitement in 1999. Photography remained my main hobby and has taken up all of my spare time since retirement.
Although I began making digital images about 4 years ago, I still make black and white silver gelatin prints. I also make alternate process prints such as Kallitypes and Cyanotypes from digital negatives.
