Love it bro…Too funny…for the last weekk i’ve been playing around with Infrared…Was just away to order a filter. Looking at the Hoya R72..>What are you using?

  • tnx don…i only a cheap one from ebay..i dont even know the make. but i learned that a good dslr sensor makes a lot of difference. hope urs is IR sensitive so u dont need very slow shutter speed.

How do i find out bud.? I was reading about Infrared the other day & it said you needed tripod for most shots as it totally blocks out light.

    I’m using a D70 & D3100..I will try find out =D. Thanks bro

  • u defo need a tripod. i usually hav to expose for at least 30 secs & it has to be very sunny. good dslr sensors only need 2-5 secs.
u need to compose ur shot and autofocus before putting the filter coz its pitch black.
to check ur IR sensitivity, use a tv remote and take a photo of the diode bulb of that remote whilst pressing a button. the bigger the white spark of that remote bulb, the better. i saw it on youtube somewhere just see if u can find it.
