See my Journal The Making of Introspection
This is my fourth and final work for the Abstract Workshop in the Solo Exhibition Group. Please read full description for my inspiration for this work.
Image edited entirely in Photoshop CS5 using all of my own images and textures with the exception of the woman. Linaji from our very own bubble graciously allowed me to use her avatar image to create this work.

Inspiration
Memories come in many varied ways and forms. Some are huge, others small, some frightening, while others are elusive, sliding in and out of conscious thought. Others come thundering down hollow halls ready to burst into view like a roman candle. From which direction will they come?

As my mind races up and down the corridors leading to the great chamber of remembering, the echos of events filter in and out. They are beckoning me to venture into that place where past joys, laughter, tears and sorrows are waiting for me. Should I enter this vast space where the memories of an invitation are heard? Yes I will step inside. I will come face to face with what makes me who I am.

Looking into this enormous mirror of past history brings long forgotten emotions erupting to the surface of my mind. It’s like a boiling cauldron, each bubble bursting as it reaches the top, thrusting its mist into ill formed images. Dare I look through the film to bring it all into focus? Was this not the purpose of this journey? As I start on this road that looks back, I must remember that I am not alone.

You come by your talent naturally Robin. Your journey has been an emotional one at times but still it has been a journey of peace and love. Again another exceptional composition true to Robin’s style…Jules…Favour

Robin, I love you. I just got in and did some surfing and just saw the Abstract workshop and there you were, with ship and inner child, all the me of me in the past few years that seems to have givin me so much. I love how our conversations gave you these clues and how you have integrated them in such a lovely abstract and generous way. The tones are me and the love you express here too about you I feel. I am honored and so dang happy today. What a double whammy for the likes of me.
xoxooxoxoxox ad infinitum! xxxx that too.

  • Dear Lina you have been such an inspiration to me this year and I was so thrilled that you allowed me to use your beautiful image for this work. Please view it as my gift to you and my interpretation of the beautiful person that you are. Thank you so much dearest! :)
