You would never guess that this image was taken in the spring of 2009 unless you are from Alberta, Canada, Aprill 11 to be exact. This was my first visit ever to the glorious Lake Louise. I could not believe how much snow and ice was still there and how many people were way out on the ice. This is the view looking to the right of the ever famous view of this wonderful place.

Awesome Robin………or should I say gorgeous winter image. Very pretty !!

  • Hey! Shouldn’t you be sleeping???? Thanks for your great comment Sean. I was going through my images from my first ever visit to Alberta and came across this one. I can remember at the time how surprised I was to leave Calgary in short sleeves and get to Lake Louise needing a winter coat! It was mid April.

Robin, I believe it, I believe it! I live in Nova Scotia, for goodness sake! It stays pretty bloody cold here too! I do like your picture, though!

  • Yes the East has some brutal winters to be sure. My father grew up in Nova Scotia and used to talk about their winters. I have only visited your beautiful province in the summer time. Thanks for your comment David. I appreciate it.

Oh Robin this is a pretty shot. You must know the saying in Alberta “Welcome to Alberta Pack for All seasons when you leave on your holidays!” :>)) Leslie

  • Thanks for your great response Leslie! Yes I will remember that saying the next time I visit Alberta in the spring.
