This shot was taken from the gondola ride up the mountain at Jasper in Alberta Canada. What a glorious ride that was! The views were spectacular! It was a cloudy, misty, rainy day and the windows of the gondola were really dirty, so I added a paint daub treatment to this image to improve it and make it look like a painting because the view was too great not to share. Hope you enjoy it.

Superb shot, robin.. the color of the water was what captured my attention first… never have seen water that looks like that.. but i’ve never been to canada either… never been north of New York City… unless cleveland ohio if farther north. this is such a gorgeous photo.. well done, my friend!! barb

  • Thanks for your great comment Barb! I think the colour of the water looks like that because of the misty rainy conditions that day. Canada is a wonderful place for scenery, but I guess I can say the same for the U.S. Every place has it’s own special beauty!

Breathtaking, Robin!!! I’m deathly afraid of heights so it would be a battle to see if my fear or my photography addiction would win out! The color of the water is amazing…what a great setting.

  • You know Barb…my husband does not like heights either and he was fine on this trek up the mountain. The breathtaking views distract any fear that may be around. Thanks for your great comment!

here’s my other excuse – I can’t take heights, lol. Again, I have to look at other people’s beautiful photos like this Robin, the paint daubs did the trick to make a beautiful picture

  • Thanks Vickie! It really wasn’t scary atall, even for my husband who does not like heights! The views were so spectacular that he did not even think about how high up he was.

So you were in the ‘Kessick’ area too Robin!! Yep your Hisband is correct on the way we say Keswick but it doesn’t work quite like that with Hawick which is pronounced Hoyk or Hoy ‘k’
Pretty as a painted picture it is too!! :0) xx

  • Ha ha Robin. Is there something about the “W” that the people over there don’t like? Thanks for your great comment.
