Government Protection
The Labour Party Spring Conference hit Birmingham this weekend and the police patrols and security were extremely high. As the Government descended on the city they closed roads, planted snipers on buildings and deployed security suits around the conference locations.
This lone patrolman was guarding this brick wall next to the Birmingham canal.

Hmmm. Judging by the news this week, they’re far better protected in Birmingham than the are at home, in Westminster. Great photo and very effective selective colouring.

They were all bored I think, which is why they questioned me about this photo, gave them something to do…they were ok once they worked out I was not up to no good.
