Cleveland – The University Circle area is home to many Cleveland institutions, not least of all Cleveland Museum of Art, Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, The Natural History Museum of Cleveland, Severance Hall (home of the world renowned Cleveland Orchestra) and Case Western Reserve University, to name but a handful.
The Case Medical Center at University Hospitals of Cleveland (established in 1896) is beyond your normal, run of the mill hospital complex. Often, incredibly unjustifiably so, referred to as the other great hospital of Cleveland, UH (as it is known locally) has been an innovator in Cancer Research (Seidman Cancer Center), Children’s Healthcare and Prenatal (Rainbow Babies and Children) and Education (Case Medical Center) for decades. The UH system is the second biggest system in Cleveland with over 13 medical centers, with the centerpiece of the massive buildings complex along Euclid and Adelbert Avenue in Cleveland. Its only rival is the outlandishly massive Cleveland Clinic Health System. The UHHS has nil if any other competitors as far as the health and well being of Clevelanders is concerned.
Aside from this, UHHS and their main campus at Case Medical Center continue to strive for excellence everyday and are winning the battles against cancer, childhood disease, women’s health issues and much, much more. All who witness this remarkable Cleveland benefit see nothing but brightness in store for one the best hospitals not only in Cleveland, but indeed the United States of America.
