As one of the oldest cities in the United States, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania has seen its share of traffic comings and goings. The busiest areas would undoubtedly center around the Center City District. Particularly on the thoroughfares of Market and Broad Streets. Here, just outside of City Hall, one can watch traffic transverse North to South or vice versa along Broad. The traffic is heavy pretty much all day and is not that much lighter in the wee night hours. It is fascinating to stand and watch the vehicles make the circular trek to the other half of the vast, dense city. Many fine old Art Deco and early international style buildings line the main north/south route.
