I close my eyes and breathe deep
you reach out to me, your lips moving forward toward mine
A whisper of breath brushes across my face
Opening your lips trying to speak the words, but nothing comes out
Brushing through my hair, your hands glide along
Caressing my face as you gently pull me close.
your lips pressed tightly against mine, we kiss with passion
I can feel you through me-the strangest feeling
I breathe deep
Your touch is cold; it sends a chill all through me
Letting my breath go, you kiss me one last time
I look into your eyes, something is missing
I can’t find you
You slowly fade back as if some force is pulling you away
Extending my hand, we connect
Trying to draw you near, you’re slipping- i can’t hold on
Calling your name, but you just look on
You’re wanting to say something…what, i don’t know
You blow a kiss with your other hand
and knowing this is goodbye, a tear forms in the corner of my eye.
Rolling down my cheek it falls
You’re dissolving… vanishing into nothing
I won’t let you go- you can’t leave me
“Save a breath for me” you say
Just then a sudden light appears and…. you’re gone
Lying on my bed, I grab a pillow and close my eyes
A hand appears, and without thinking I reach for it
You smile and pull me close
I breath deep.

Save a breath for me

Ever dream something so real it felt like you couldn’t tell if it really took place or not? This happened to me…
