Yes, I do too! Makes this piece work so well!

  • thanks for looking at these Mel. They were a horror to photograph and I’m not sure they are “bright” enough…any ideas? Fleur just suggested a few shoppy changes but I just don’t know. Guess I would have to see them printed

They give the impression of old music with added bits quite well, changing the contrast and white balance with photoshop could make them look a little less authentic….

  • that’s what I thought too

These are so lovely… The stitching makes them more special…
Does this really say meow, perhaps?
Definitely see them printed before doing anything – hear me, do nothing!

  • yes mm of course it says meow, only you would find my cryptic cat message in amongst all the other red herrings ; )

I have become fairly fluent in cat…as you surely are!

  • thanks John. I hope nobody ever wants to buy them. I’ve put highish prices on the originals but I still want to keep them!

Wonderful creations…with a very speical feel to them. – Brilliant! :).

  • thanks Rebecca. They are quite formal and have some body because there are several layers sewn together. It would be a shame to put them behind glass because you would hide the texture. I have made little cardboard stands for them. I won’t sell them cheaply and I actually hope no one buys them!

I recently bought a load of really old music sheets from a book market and haven’t worked out what I’m going to do with them yet, this has given me so much inspiration though! Thankyou! x

  • have fun! this looks much better in person, the old music is very hard to photograph because it is sort of dull and it wouldn’t fit in the scanner
