From a negative shot in a pinhole matchbox camera
This may not be the last version of this that I upload. This is from the same negative as this

but scanned at a higher resolution in a film scanning device. At least the pixel dimensions of this make it suitable for print. I will try some other methods to make my B & W negative into a digital image.

    I do love this version!

  • thank you for your feedback John. I’m not completely convinced yet and will be trying several other methods…at least it is big enough to print now, though what I really want is to get it big enough for a poster!

I really hope you keep this version this is my most favourite of this phase of your work! I am revelling in it – magical. The textures and tones and light bleeds are awesome. And yes would be great to have it at poster or large canvas print size – it is the sort of work I think that the larger it is the more magic is exposed.

  • John please keep up this flattery, I can feel it doing me good!!
I agree , I like the large sizes. I have just started looking around for a better scanner but I still have a few other tricks up my sleeve for when I get the negs back from the friend who just scanned them!

That is so cool! I can’t get over how good your results are with this method. Kudos to you!

  • thank you, yes it is like magic. I have just finished doing a version of this the same but with the white spots removed (though they do add atmosphere)

Just wonderful Soxy…love the water stains…all the versions are beautiful…can’t decide which is my favorite! :).

  • I can’t decide either! all I know is I want to make the pixel dimensions greater! I’m just trying my first long indoor exposure. I have just given it half an hour, not sure if that is enough
