First experiments with pinhole technology small but so atmospheric I just had to show them
matchbox, pinhole, white, black
Soxy moves between different media, recycling, assembling, capturing and bringing previously unseen things to the surface. If she’s not creating something visual she will be singing and making music….
Just saw the first post…yes, can see more here and they look great as paired!funny how back to the future things are
don’t you find them atmospheric? they make me think of dreams and memories. These were long exposures as the sun was behind clouds and the day was late. should be fun with some bright sun
– Soxy Fleming
The atmosphere is really intense – very edgy and thought provoking stuff
thanks Stuart. When these are scanned properly I’ll post another hoepefully bigger version. They really do have the stuff of dreams and memories
thank you. This cemetery is a wonderful place for pictures so I’ll be back there!
thank you for your visit and nice comment
Just love these…especially nice when shown together. The textures are wonderful. :)
the way I scanned them the images were very small so it was the only way I could get them to a reasonable size. I’ll be interested to see proper scans of the negs and I have a few other ideas about geting from hard negative to digital file. I’m glad you like them too!
These are AMAZING!
don’t we have fun? I still haven’t gone and bought some more out of date film, and I still haven’t used the fantastic plastic! I had advanced double exposure plans for it……now I have been seduced by pinhole and paper negs! and I’m not going to run out in a hurry….there is far more paper in the old boxes than I expected (at least 300 sheets I would think!) oh well. it is winter so some indoor fotographeee projects might be good.
This is incredible. Well done. Feels like it’s haunted!
thank youI had no idea how they would turn out. I have to credit my wonderful Fleur, photoshopper extraordinaire, who made the first images appear from what seemed like nothing. great location, so I’ll probably go back there and take some more
Amazing work Soxy!
thank you, this is all a big exciting adventure!
Really special photo artwork!
thank you it’s fun too!
Come on folks am I the only person who realises this is a plea for help. Times are hard downunder. I’m going to start a whip round to buy Soxy a new camera !
I mean she can’t take her biscuit tin down town to record the Queens next Ozzie tour..
She needs one with nobs and dials and stuff..
I’ll make sure I put knobs and dials on my next biscuit tin…
