Galilee

stranded in open seas -
a sea full of eyes.
i don’t think i ever told anyone i couldn’t swim.
i can’t swim alone!

please someone, won’t you grab my hand!?
the storms are coming -
His wind is tossing me to and fro,
again, my paper sails stand no chance.

they’re made of useless, prideful,
doctrines of man’s opinion.
i swore i wouldn’t let this take me.
rain like knives falls over and into my skin.

saltwater rushes in open sores and cuts,
and blinds the veins from screaming,
their red voices in terror.
in that silence, You’re heard.

He steps inside my vessel,
and we are at shore.
