This is a study of colors. Here I choose orange versus blue, and what better orange coloring then a tiger.
Color theory is helpful to your works and fun to try, thank-you all you dead artists that made the rules long before I walked the art world.
blue, orange, animal, color, tiger, david, vibrant, sourwine
… and very nicely done too David. Love the rendering of the fur : )
Thanks Quigonjim. I used a block brush to lay the colors down, then had a 4 tipped smug brush to drag the color. then it was just going over it adding individual hairs and reflective highlights with blue.

Beautiful and excellent work!
thanks once again Jean ^^
Wow, you sure can paint, I started out with an actual brush in art school, landscapes my favorite, but the cartoonist in me always showed up in pieces like this, CLICK just before I brought my first computer home.
Beautiful study – I need to more works like this myself (I could do with the practice!).
Well get out there and paint! That’s what we are all here for, giving ideas and inspiration to others just like us. It’s the pushing of our limits that make artists out of us^^
Fantastic work, nice composition. I like the way you have used the detailed brush strokes sparingly.
I should try that some more with other works. I always love the soft focus on photographs and how they help to draw attention to the subject matter.
Wow! Fantastic work Dave! I feel the hunt in his eyes. Love the hazy background wit the sharp details of the tiger.
I can’t believed how amazing this is. This is perfect, you are so talented!!:)
well done ,abeautifulbeast ! liz
Beautiful, powerful work.
