Walking through Covent Garden some time in the late 1960s I observed this scene. The little girl seemed lost in a world of her own.

How lovely, a time of innocents when you could just take a shot of a child and not be concerned a parent will rage at photographing their child. Times have change and not for the better

  • Thank you, Cazz! I share your sentiments about contemporary attitudes to photographing scenes like this. A generation hence people will wonder why children disappeared altogether from street photography.
