i must admit that from my point of view, i have seen your whole folder here, and i must say.. that your black and white photographs are stunning, especially the dancers and also the portraits and landscapes. but color.. it seems like the completly different person was doing it, i must say im surprised.
It’s interesting that you noticed that. I think I see things a bit like Lelouch saw them in his brilliant movie A MAN AND A WOMAN. It was shot in color, sepia and black and white. And each tone conveyed a different message. As a kid, in the 1950’s, I spent time between New York and Paris. I still see both cities in black and white. On the other hand, I could not imagine shooting anything but color in the South of France or Portugal. I also find black and white film has a great deal more soul than black and white digital. I remember when my son was very young, he once came up to me and asked me if the world was in black and white when I was his age. In a way, it was. That was until 2001 A Space Odyssey hit the big screen!
magical image. it shows the motion but also the steadiness of a ballerina (not that i know much of it). focus and just all the years and effort she put into this art.

Great observation! Ballet dancers do seem to be able to project movement and stillness at the same time.
