Oh Sorin, these images bring tears to my eyes. This is unimaginable to me, i am thinking of buying these as Christmas cards, a wake up call to all of us awake with our eyes closed.

Brilliant capture Sorin!!! I love your whole series from the Gypsy camp. It is fascinating. We have large Gypsy families over here, and I am always interested in seeing where their culture came from.

And it’s a wonderful one. Great work, Sorin. I just love it when you go out into the country side and take pictures of the people. It’s a world that most of us don’t every get to see.

Sorin – this has been a really fine series. Someone suggested, on an earlier shot, of perhaps writing something about these particular group in your journal. You seem to have got close to them?

The picture was made from my car from some distance ….they are a big comunity there and they are not nesesecery very frendly

Very moving and well captured BW image

Awesome shot Sorin and very sad to us with affluence.
And yet these people have probably not known any different lifestyle and are probably happy in their own way. If we tried to conform them to our standards they would probably be very unhappy.

I love the way they are lookint at you while you were taking this image. This has brought them close to the audience like me! Even though you have maintained a distance, there is human contact and this is nice, well done! And the title spells THEIR. I hope you don’t mind? Your English is exellent even fantastic. Moving image, indeed! It makes you think about things! I geuss I have the gypsy heart, and like to travel some! But not like that! We do live different lives, I know I am blessed! I am not rich, but I dont have their conditions! I am not sure they picked their lives? Not sure they could be happy? Do you know?

Relly i don t no i think maybe are happy some times but i don t think they have a happy life

This is surreal, I have just passed a gypsy funeral today, there were loads of cars and lorrys by the side of the road, awaiting the horse and carriage, this is a very moving and sad image, I have heard though gypsys won,t get tyed with bricks and mortar, they like their freedom, its the children I feel for.

Only once in my life, has anyone said to me: Do you want to fight? I was about 10 years old, walking home from school, in Gouda, with my little girlfriend. A gypsy boy had stopped me. Luckily, a policeman happened to come riding by, on his bicycle. The boy moved on.
I frequently tell about that incident (which really was not so dramatic) but it seems like fiction.
Seeing your picture of real gypsy children brought that back again and now viewed with a different understanding of their situation.

Hy When i lived at graville sydney we. My Brother Jim and i whent to the Granvale tip.

Never though little kids were living in a tent in a tip. Sow sad is a tip.
