I don’t quite get how this image fits into the sci fi challenge theme of ‘Once Upon a Time In Another Universe’, but who cares. I have to say it is my favourite image out of all those entered. You get my vote.
Happy axolotling,
R :)
I’m so pleased you voted! Axolotls look a bit like they come from beyond the stars, plus I just want more people to know about them I guess! Thanks again for the vote, from one axolotler to another :)

Wonderful…..i recognised this little fella immediately, great sense of character you’ve captured in this quirky print.
Thankyou very much for your comment Lisa! Really appreciate it :) ♥

Since Mad Magazine’s issue number 43 in 1958, I’ve been on the lookout for axolotls. Their poem ‘I Wandered Lonely as a Clod’ is classic. But Ogden Nash also wrote a poem about axolotls…. I never met an axolotl, But Harvard has one in a bottle. Perhaps – and at the thought I shiver – The very villain from Fall River, Where Lizzie Borden took an axolotl And gave her mother forty whaxolotl.
Poetry about axolotls… it doesn’t really ever get better than that! Thanks for the comment, from one axie lover to another ♥
