Being a dabbler, I’m forever curious about many fields, and techniques which have given me the knowledge I combine in my art works to make elaborated mixed media.
I’m mostly inspired by femininity, design and psychology. ActuallyI’m graduated in fine art, design and psychology.
I discovered the basis of this quas-obsession with femininity at the end of a lengthy, psychoanlytical journey. This interest in woman, mother and femininity originated because of the immense void left in my heart when I was deprived of my mother’s presence. To make up for this, the child that I was took refuge and pleasure in dreaming, sublimating my missing mother and women in general.
This “wound” became a driving force, the source of my creativity, leading me on a perpetual search, "What is a woman? ", "What is a mother? " (Theme of my extended essay). I try to make sens of the duality between the two, to reveal the complexity, the internal beauty, the pain, the strength and weakness, the contractions of women. I attempts to recreate the essence of woman in my painting, what we all have in common, to encompass all women from all times, from any origin and any backgroung. Beauty and mystery are the dominant theme, aesthetics is always present because I need to sublimate woman.
