Sunlight and wind by Sophie-Berger

Mixed media

Step 1
change the picture with photoshop to contrast it in black and white.
Step 2,
projection in the canvas to enlarge it. I trace the outlines.
Step 3
I glue everywhere it will be black
cover it with silk paper
when it’s dryed, removed it wildly to make rugth effect. (Not smooth)
I added black paint acrylique in places the paper didn’t glue
Step 4
Same with orange
Step 5
I covered all with a special transparent paper; (orange)

I tried to express the sweet and sensual feeling of caring about the warm air and sunlight which caress our face and play with our hair.

I express it in modern way but it is about making unity with natural elements which surrounds us. Fusion with the spirit of nature.

Ahh a barter system :-) I like that idea

  • Don’t know this word, but I may understand the idea. We have a real system in france, you can exchange anything. But when we make group exhibition, sometime, among all unsold paintings, some we like, we can propose to the painitng if he likes one of our painitngs to exchange, like this, nobody is spending money but we are all happy to get what we like.
