Blues - Dedicated to whom may be concerned... by

Self portrait – collage Mixed media 2010

Current situation may cause psychic pains which awakes childhood issue or to anchored roots in past memories from faraway times.
This painting is about what we call in french “Blues” means melancoly. Réminiscence, rumination or regression are sometimes usefull if the purpose is to gain insights and answers.
After the rain the sun is shining; getting lost in the darkness make us to find ourself and find the light.
we have many symbolic mourn to make along the life and many renunciation to accept.
I’m thinking that if people would be more oppened with melancoly moments, accept it, face it, and take benefit on it, they would move on much more better. I don’t mean staying depressed, no, it is about transition. Each time I’ve been through, I went out filled with a renew creative energy.

Amicalement. Sophie
