butterfly, butterfly garden, changi airport, singapore
Beautifully captured !I didn’t know there was such beauty at an airport terminal !
Thank you! :)They have a lot of different ‘gardens’ at Changi Airport: http://www.changiairport.com/at-changi/leisure-...I only saw the butterfly garden on the way to Australia and the orchid garden on the way home. This airport is really amazing imho.
I discovered the gardens by looking on the net after viewing your image. Who did you travel with … different airlines use different terminals … I may be through there later this year or sometime next year … certainly wouldn’t mind a long stopover with those sights to see :)
I travelled with Singapore Airlines. But you do get around on Changi Airport as the distances between the terminals are HUGE! And I definitely wouldn’t mind a long stopover there. On the way back I had to take the skytrain because I wouldn’t have made it by foot, even though I had 2 hours to get there. Well, admittedly I did spend some time searching the smokers’ room, then I stumbled upon the Orchid Garden and I hadn’t found the tobacco shop yet … so after finally getting my tobacco I had to ask the people there for the fastest way to my gate :DBut still, the distances are really enormous, and even if you don’t have to search for places, it’s still a good idea to keep an eye at the clock :)
Thanks for the extra info …. tight stopovers can be really tricky, especially having to change terminals and go through security again !
excellent capture Sophia!!!
