i’m trying to salvage a little dignity from the wreckage
keep my manhood strong alive breathing
i’m trying not to lose myself in chaos but the comforts of love
i’m trying to fight the feeling of losing the fight
i’m trying to live where i was told not to
i’m trying to live in places where i was told i could not fit
that i was to tall my ego too large
my intellect too narrow and my heart too niave
i’m trying to pace myself one foot in front of the other
awkwardly stummbling on loose ends i failed to tie the right way
