And I wait for empty trains to arrive
Alone in salt lit stations
At the apprehensive side of my universally insecure soul
Counting dark sky constellations
Speaking silently of cosmic dissidence
His strawberry jam covered harvest moon
Marked approach of another dying season

Denizen of the quiet car
Listening to nothing, saying nothing
Walking dead, each of them
Stand stern, emotion only betrays him
Allowing this one to pass till the next

Poetry is not written, just shaken out till heard

Tapping this snow globe of boyish intent
Noise pollution
Settled in serene dreamscapes
Little plastic winter townships

Do you know me?
Dusty plastic and chipped paint
Every man should be reborn
Every man should be sacrificed
Every man should stand during his ascension
This, my hidden Eucharist
This, my figurative Christmas Day

Saviors are born in poverty, not liberty
Liberation’s liberation
Pledge allegiance to your war torn flag
In God’s name we prey
Nation builders, indeed

Cracked sky light
Fractured North Star shining through this spider web
Slumbering on astral pillows
Between these rusted train tracks
Forgiving late arrival and half smoked cigarette butts

Piecing together lost memory
Scratched in lead and sulfur on mutilated redwood
Thin cut sheet lets light push through
Projected across bedroom walls

Stealing breathe
Pushing back tears
You are my corn field maze
Defined bewildered innocents

Brains wrapped in quarterly evaluation and weekly deposit slips
Blind to you
Invisible, false soul of mine
Life rewarded in shallow accomplishment

Kissing beneath a white whales crush
Strapped to a broken mast
Tailored ripped sails
Our captain must die alone

Wicked barbarians
Ruling class, institutional control
Incredible pilot flying between the dark spots in your eye
There are three exits, each illuminated in the case of an emergency
Please follow all posted safety pamphlets
Have a great flight

Azure daydreams
Drunken genie in this empty scotch bottle
Wicked d’jinn tells me I am a salesmen
Seller of men
Discounted for three days only
But then again, they are suppose to be special every day
Culture wars

Offerings to a false kingdom
Meals not needed
Defiance of their sacred
Back broken in the name of a savior
Wine shared in remembrance of death and life and good friends
Religion is just plain spooky sometimes

Random bible verse and polished butter knife smiles
Delivering me again from my 40th day
Self defined deserts
Temptation is a pitiful word for denial
Life cut in squares

Shards of broken mirror cut the teacher’s feet
Landing in jigsaw mosaics
Painting still life coffee cups with cockroaches and rotten pears
Pictures for Hell’s gift shop

Don’t be so proud as not to see your grandmother in each cheap painting you snub
Do we value culture more than our parents?
And what does that say about our fucking parents

The paranoia of our Captain’s verse in prayer:
“I am never afraid, I am always just watching”
“Watching for what?”
“Watching for what, exactly”

Checking the flickering boards, the last train has finally arrived
