I enjoy the outdoors whether it be photographing, hiking and backpacking, snowshoeing, biking and camping.
Spending time outdoors and observing nature is what I live for. I enjoy photographing the landscape, withered tree trunks, flowers, mushrooms, cloud formations, colorful moss, creeks, rocks and other natural things which many people pass by without noticing.
Being amongst nature has allowed me to be more observant of the little things in life and capture those images of the natural world.
Most of my photographs come from my solo hiking trips into the mountains and forest of British Columbia. Few people get to see such beautiful and fragile environment up close so I present them here. I head out in all types of weather year round as long as it takes me outdoors.
I find great joy in exploring the natural world under my own power while at the same time reducing my impact on mother nature.

Thanks for dropping by and viewing my photos and writings. Both are updated on a regular basis

Writing

North to Alaska (Part I)

My northern adventure takes me on a revisit through northern BC, the Yukon and the big state of Alaska. During my short stay, I have attempted to detail my passage through this majestic land.

Frosty Mountain Loop

At one point while hiking, I slipped on the snow and fell forwards. The weight of my pack propelled me forwards and I stopped about a foot short of sliding head first into a tree trunk.

The Base of Spahats Falls

The loose pile of mossy volcanic rocks made scrambling a slippery and dangerous ordeal. The boulders initially looked stable until I stepped on them then they started to slide.

Capital Reef Park

The only poisonous creature in the park, the Midget Faded Rattlesnake, curled up into a striking posture as I crept closer for a shot.

Bushwhacking Experience

This was one of the most rugged bushwhack I undertook. The thick bush was one thing but the spiny thorns of the Devil’s Club and Wild Rose was another.

The Great Glacier

I had to keep in mind that this area is treacherous as huge chunks of ice can calve off as is evident by irregular blocks of ice strewn about.
