This is georgeous. As an old Midwesterner and newer desert rat, I don’t get to see things like this much in real life. The photography on RB is a look at a whole new world for me.

Hi Catalin,
I’ve reviewed your portfolio~ you have a unique eye/style. Very nice.
I grew up around these beauties on the eastern shore of the US.
Like so many ocean mammals, they ‘beach’ themselves in explicatively.
One morning, I woke to a full moon low tide…..... they run further out than normal.
It was a place where the water would recede about 200 yds/meters.
I was only 7 but I saw what looked like rocks that had never been exposed before.
Then I noticed that these rocks had large fins. So, off I ran leaving a herd of non-
believing adults behind.
When I got there, I found a whole pod of adults and newborns, a total of 32.
I wanted to grab the smallest ones but even they could hurt a young person with
their tails. So, I kept their skin wet and fortunately it was early morning and the tide was coming
in.
So, thank you for this lovely photo of some old friends of mine. We also had Wrights, Finbacks,
and Humpbacks. Even a Blue one years. HUGE!
You did a great job with this shot.
The deep, rich blue of the water.
The total blackness of the whales….....but you don’t have any glare from the scene.
Also, it doesn’t go unnoticed that both of them are in sync with their exhale :-).
Keep up the great work.
