My old books are rarely read but much loved
Thank you so much for visiting my site and I do appreciate your comments but find I am often too busy with hosting duties to reply individually.
I like this. Really nice!!!
I’m glad the bookmouse was cooperative!
Hi Judi, Besides those lovely old-world well-worn textures, & ‘mouse’, I was trying to work out why this scene is so ‘right’.Yes the carefully-angled subject material & placement, & the ‘common thread’; subtle lined textures. Then it dawned on me. You have arranged this photograph so that no-where can one see a true horizontal nor vertical line.(although having just typed this, I now notice some!). Perhaps the ones I just noticed act as an ‘anchor’, for this artwork.Really pleasing to the eye Judi. Thank you! :)Probably one of the chooks got the worm. They’re ‘into’ books. Often you can hear them chortling “Book-book”, “Boook-book-book”
Lovely to see old, bound hardbacks, Judy. I grew up surrounded by thousands of books and have continued the habit. We have several hundred at home – and they are such a blessing.
Oh I love this photo! It’s precious!xox
Beautiful photograph…wonderful collection!!!! I have a love of hardbound works of art!!!!
Love this, Judi….it really resonates with me…an avid lover of old books!!!
I love books…when I bought Nageira House B&B, there are books still in the Library from the 1920’s!!! From the people who built the house in 1921! What a find…..
