    Hi Judi,
Besides those lovely old-world well-worn textures, & ‘mouse’, I was trying to work out why this scene is so ‘right’.
Yes the carefully-angled subject material & placement, & the ‘common thread’; subtle lined textures.
Then it dawned on me. You have arranged this photograph so that no-where can one see a true horizontal nor vertical line.
(although having just typed this, I now notice some!). Perhaps the ones I just noticed act as an ‘anchor’, for this artwork.
Really pleasing to the eye Judi. Thank you! :)
Probably one of the chooks got the worm. They’re ‘into’ books. Often you can hear them chortling “Book-book”, “Boook-book-book”

Lovely to see old, bound hardbacks, Judy. I grew up surrounded by thousands of books and have continued the habit. We have several hundred at home – and they are such a blessing.

I love books…when I bought Nageira House B&B, there are books still in the Library from the 1920’s!!! From the people who built the house in 1921! What a find…..
