Original iconic photograph was by Robert Freeman, inspired by the works of Astrid Kirschherr. The picture was shot in a hotel hallway with ‘a piece of black background’ and natural light.
I think it’s one of the most recognised album covers of all time ( but maybe that’s just me, I was raised by a lovely hippie! )

I’m pre-Beetles, and had to look up that cover you mentioned. I am wondering what the music is like under this cover… Will likely never look at the female trio in quite the same way now. Wondering whatever happened to their Ken…
    Way cool…

  • Their Music is wonderful – especially when you consider the lyrics from some of the later pieces.
Ken will fare rather well with this series.. but you’ll have to wait and see!

Amazing tribute to the Beatles by an inspired photographer. Just love that title – was it inspired by ‘Norwegian Wood’?
