Christine Chaney

Hi, my names Christine. My pictures are taken in the Northern Illinois Area.

When i was littler i’d steal my mom’s canon camera and just shoot my dog, or the flowers planted around the house. I remeber all the time looking through National Geographics amazed by the photography that was in there. For a while i took a break from photography, but in highschool was brought back to it with the intrest of Graphic Design when we learned how to use manual cameras and film.

Christmas of 2008, i received my first DSLR. A Pentax K200 that was my christmas and graduation present. Instantly i was outside experiementing even though the ground was covered in melting snow.

Even though i still consider myself quit amateur, im willing to learn. I Belive i preform at best in Black and white Images, But i love the vibrant color in Portraits or anything that catches my eye. I always am willing to try something new, although am quit hessitant to try sometimes.

This past Summer i followed a former friend and my Boyfriends band. It was a good experience that taught me to come with one goal.. No matter the conditions, great or horrible, try my best to get a good shot.

As far as my private life, I’ve been with my Boyfriend a little over a year, and he sparks alot of inspiration when we go out together and i just shoot whatever catches my eye. I love him dearly and am so happy to have him. I am also finishing up my last semester at Rock Valley College and am moving out in August to attend NIU. Once at NIU i know alot of my focus will be on school and working because i will have many bills coming in. Im going to get my Degree in Visual Communications and want to Minor in Sociology. Although i might switch my degree to photography im not sure if i have the confidence to do that yet. But any other questions Just shoot me a message and thank you for visiting my Portfolio.
