I’ve never built a gingerbread House before.
Didn’t realize it was quite so challenging.
I think the hardest part for me was getting it to stay together while decorating.
The thing is if you put it together first then it’s hard to paint the windows and doors and such
because the angle is to horizontal.
My first bright idea was to let it dry first then tip it on it’s side to decorate. NOT!!!!!
When it fell into pieces for the forth time I decided to decorate each wall before erecting.
I’ll have to remember this in the future lol.
It’s much easier that way and it will save you allot of time.
A special thanks to-
Simone’s grandparents for giving this to us. They are so nice!
Rebecka and Miranda for decorating the lights along the front. (Just below roof)
Pat for constructive guidance and Candy Jewel Factory. (Yep we used those too.)
Raven and Savannah for spreading frosting and (Not eating house. I know it was tempting lol)
Francine for all the encouragement. (Always helps!)
And EmberEllen for decorating the windows. Especially bottom left! (Beautiful!!!!)
The amount of candy that is on this house is amazing!
I couldn’t have done it without all the help. Thank you!!!
And after all is said and done I don’t want to eat.
In fact maybe I’ll post guards around it lol.
Hmmmm…… I guess I’ll have to hire some Gingerbread men!
