have you ever been there
watching others sit and glare
feeling their piercing stare
those who pretend to care
for their ‘friends’ also sitting there
in the same direction of that same glare
with damning thoughts of those sitting there
next to them on a nearby chair
their friend or ‘foe’ that they declare
are their pal, their mate next them there
i smile and think of my real friends
many whom i wish were by my side
those whom i know that care
for the good times that we will forever share
yes my real friends there
that would never stare or glare
and pretend to care
you see they are always there
because they know i care
forever ‘friends’, my dear reader friend
are rare
so be sure to take care
when selecting friends that will always be there
and show you that they really care
remember real friends are rare
this … i really do declare

thanks serenity … i watched a situation unfold in work today (two women – friends apparently) ... watched them but they were too busy to know that i was watching at lunch … i knew what one was thinking about the other however … sad really … thanks for commenting … much appreciated my friend ;-)
