This was taken with a Canon EOS 1100D (28mm @f16 6sec, ISO 100) on a farm called Elandsvlei near Ladismith, South Africa.
A few months ago it was raining here like MAD. The farmers here haven’t seen weather like this in all there life and some are fourth generation farmers, like the guy here from Elandsvlei.
The mist was sometimes so thick I had to walk carfully and at other times it was drenching almost non stop. But that didn’t keep me from sloshing through the mud to try and find something interesting. This scene really captured my attention as I rounded a bend.
I must say I’ve accentuated the colors and light a lot more than the actual photo. But who doesn’t (?!). Although, it does bother me sometimes that my images might be conveying something that didn’t actually happen I could also state that maybe they are conveying something I felt DID happened… or maybe I am trying to improve on nature, or fix a bad photo or I might even just be lying to my audience?
