A Moment In Time
My dear RB friends, I appreciate your comments greatly! I prefer to reciprocate them rather than thank you individually so please do not be offended by my lack of replies here. I shall be commenting on your work instead. Thank you all… Astrid
Like a vice it grips me,
Wrenching, unyielding.
This loneliness.
Alone-ness.
Despair tugs at my heart strings,
Desolation ebbs over me.
Remorse, self pity, doubt.
Where has hope gone?
No way out,
No light ahead,
Just darkness,
Coldness,
Nothingness…
It hurts, this void I feel inside!

I hope that isn’t the way you are feeling.
However, the image, the boy, and your prose, certainly hang together for a lost soul.
Astrid Pardew replied
It was Jack… however, I think that we all go through those moments at some point/s in time hence the title ‘A moment in time’.
Writing the prose and setting it to this mage certainly helped me to overcome the negative feelings I was experiencing at the time. It was therapeutic… :)

Astrid, firstly let me congratulate you on being the first challenge winner for Living Christianity. A highly worthy recipient of this honour!!
But now I must applaud this brilliant and moving piece.
Visually it speaks volumes on its own, but your beautiful and poignant words more than accompany it perfectly, they add to it and enhance what is already present.
I adore you treatment of this beautiful and technically astounding shot, your talent and you gifting!
