FEATURED ON OCTOBER 31, 2011 THANK YOU SO MUCH
No time for the story line behind this shot, so I’ll be back later. Well, let’s see what I can say about this shot. Chewy is my 75% Siberian Husky/ 25% Timber Wolf. He is just over 3 years old now and only weighs around 70 pounds. HOWever, if he stands on his rear legs, his front feet reach my high chest area. I think it’s the Timber Wolf in him that made him that long. I love the color on the top of his tail. Most of him is black and white, but the top of his tail from the rump to the white tip, is burnt red umber and you need to see it in the light for the color to really show up good. “CHEWY LOVES TO SING” and that is exactly what he is doing in this shot. I took several shots of him while he was singing and I’m going to try to make a close cropped panorama, so that you can see his head movement and mouth shapes as he sings. He is so funny, but sometimes he is a pain in my ears. He likes to stand behind me while I’m driving and sing in my ears. When he realizes where he is going, he starts in and it can go on for up to 12 miles at a time. Fortunately, he doesn’t do it on the way home, from where ever we have been. This shot was taken in my backyard in Vacaville, California in the United States. I used my Canon EOS 60D with my Canon 18-135 AF IS lens. This newer camera is so much sharper than the older Canon 300D that became my back up camera, I very seldom use the 300D any more. The 60D has become my staple and I love the fact that it has real time video also. So with my 8GB, 30MB/s SANDISK card in place, I can take up to 1,000 images of still shots, or mix with video and still have tons of images on the card.
