I took this shot with my new Canon 60D the very first night I got the camera. It came with an 18-135MM lens that has Image Stabalization, since the camera doubles as a video camera also. This image was shot at a focal length of 18MM. I had other images of this night shot, but none of them had “THE STREET LIGHT”, in them. I like the briteness of the overall image. With my new camera set up at 3200ISO and a shutter speed of 1/80 and an apperature setting of F:4:. It does a lot more than my older Canon camera would do. Don’t get me wrong, I like my older camera also, but there is something about this new camera that just makes the images so much more focussed and sharper. It has to be the developement of the sensor and lenses with ultrasnic drive motors in them. I am very impressed with the focussing speed and quality overall. This image is looking East towards the cemetary hill, which seperates the middle section of Marshall Road, from the East end and then the hills to my West, seperate us from the Westernmost portion of Marshall Road. It is one of the few streets that goes all the way from one side of Vacaville, California, United States to the other. Unfortunately, a lot of people know that and they use it because it has fiewer stop lights on it. So, that means less stopping and let’s all go faster since there is a 1/2 mile straight road, right in front of my house. Now we call it Marshall Road Raceway. My new Canon 60D does a fantastic job, I can’t wait to see what else it comes up with. Now, if I can just get it to use Adobe Photoshop Elements 3.0 as it’s preffered photoshop and not the program that comes with the camera.
