Haha!!That’s right, he’s my delicous cutie pie! (In ancient china, chow chows were once bred for food…I suppose they taste good?? Really sad!)

Long before they were being bred for food…the chinese emperors used to keep thousands of them all at one time in the palaces….they were given honorable titles bestowed on important people as well. According to many sources, Chow Chows are the oldest breed of dogs around, up till now…nobody is 100% sure of its’ origins unlike other breeds…and the black tongue, where did that come from? So this is my theory….it probably isnt a 100% dog….its’ ancestors could be some bearish looking creatures that look like dogs but arent dogs….but they ended up being domesticated like other dogs. Chow chows dont exactly behave like dogs either…Udon doesnt like to play Fetch, he doesnt need my affection, he prefers to be alone and he’s pretty aloof most of the time :D

Now you know why this guy is so precious to me….imagine this face with his fave woot woot noises he makes….cant bear to apart from him for too long..whenever I am outside, I will finish my stuff quickly and hurry back home….such is the power Udon has over me! :D

Oh yes,he’s very sweet….he’s not the the physically affectionate type of dog…he’s the type which you know he loves you but keeps it deep within…:D And when you talk to him, he replies with some funny woot woot sounds all the time…though I may not understand a woot that he’s saying, he’s really still a sweetie :D

AWWWW, Udon!!! My gosh, he does look like a bear, Ellen! And yes, I LOVE his cute ears a lot. Well, I’m never crazy about skinny dogs, so Udon is exactly the type I would love to have…..oh, dear, you’re really blessed to have this little gentle boy!!

Haha!! His ears are quite fleshy :D So am I, I so much prefer dogs that look round and cute…and not overly sticky and attention seeking…actually Udon behaves very much like a cat, he’s pretty independent and can be very stubborn at times. When we bring him to the vet for jabs, all of us couldnt bring him onto the vet’s table…the vet has to come out from his office to give him the jab at the counter! But really, like you said, I’m really blessed!

What a totally gorgeous and beautiful and cuddly and adorable friend to have around to snuggle up with all the time!!! Udon is awesome… how big is he? Udon Chow!!! What a cool name that would be… hee hee!! Give him a huge cuddle from me :D

Will do GG! :D He’s only about 7 months old…weighs about 16 kg…I would love to snuggle up with him but he doesnt really enjoy the idea of people fussing over him, he likes to have his own space, he has an independent mind and doesnt seek to please….such is the nature of chow chows :D

Sure I will!! And he’s got lots of loose skin underneath his neck…so when he runs…the loose skin flaps up and down too, really cute!! :D

With such an independant personality, he could be a cat in a dog’s body!! or is that teddybear’s body? Still, he’s totally gorgeous!! I’ve added a chowchow to my list of dogs I’d have… old english sheepdog, labrador, hungarian poulie and now also a chowchow!! I couldn’t get them all at once, we only have a unit!!! The hungarian poulie is the gorgeous little dog in Magic Roundabout… until this year (yeah took me a while) I’ve always called that type of dog ‘the Mop Dog from Magic Roundabout’. I had no idea there was a real dog like it!!!
