Don’t let the pedestrian looking whitewall tires fool you…this staggering 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona once ruled the likes of superspeedways like Darlington, Talledega, and it’s namesake track …Daytona.

It may not be thundering around the high banks any longer, but like any deserving race horse put out to pasture, this 440 cubic inch stallion is enjoying the fruits of it’s labor in the studio when it’s not on the show circuit.

Taken in the studio of RK Motors Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina.

    Beautifully presented Steven

  • Thank you so much Paul! This is my first opportunity to get onto RB since I’ve started working again. It’s been incredibly busy, but I am grateful and happy to be there. We just sold this Daytona to none other than Ray Evernham, the famed Nascar crew chief.

Love the hard ‘key light’. You did a fine job with the harsh lighting Steve. photo has attitude!

    [even with the white walls!!!]

  • Thank you so much Kevin for the very kind remarks! It’s a bit of a challenge shooting in this studio. We are fighting for some additional changes to make it better. The whitewalls do look a little out of place on a car that earned it’s chops racing…. I guess that is what happens when you’re retired to life on the streets.
