Now here is a car that you rarely ever see anymore on the street, let alone as a race car. The AMC Javelin is a rare and misunderstood car.
Born in 1969, with the hopes of competiting with Ford and Chevrolet and their respective Mustang and Camaro coupes, came the American Motors Javelin.
This is a second generation body type 1972 Javelin transformed into a Trans-Am race car to do battle with the Boss 302 and Z/28 did a good job of holding it’s own on the track.
While watching it compete around the track, it was most recognizable by it’s Matador Red, Frost White and Commadore Blue paint scheme. What a great time to be alive and following motorsports!
