Now This Is a Cockpit by Steve Mezardjian

Available to buy on…

This little jewel was part of Rick Hendrick’s stable on display at the 2010 Charlotte Auto Show. Rick has always had an eye for Corvettes…and this was certainly no exception.

A trademark of any Corvette has always been it’s instrumentation, especially the early year cars.
I would be curious to know just how far he has tickled the other end of that 160 mph speedometer.

Yes! This was IT between 58 and 62. I had a red/black combo in my 59, didn’t look this good though!

  • What happened with your 59 Bill? That’s the kind of car your supposed to keep for life!

sold it when I was 18 and ignorant! It was 1968 and I was headed into the Navy…got $1800 for it and thought it was the deal of a lifetime! (kick me here)

  • You’re not alone Bill. I did the same thing with my first car, a 74 TR-6. I spun it out into a culvert in the middle of a blizzard and traded it in on my first new car (78 Thunderbird Town Landau) to avoid my insurance going up from an accident claim. I didn’t have the cash to fix the damage myself. I’m still kicking myself to this day…

Thanks so much Michael. I would love to do a calendar someday with Corvettes interiors as the theme. The hardest part would be trying to figure out which twelve model years to use! 1958,1967 and 1968 are no brainers, but after that it would really be hard to say. I kind of feel out of love from Corvettes after 1973.
