The Long Strange Trip
A sketch I did, back in ‘04 (Christ, has it really been that long?) of a personal hero of mine, the Good Doctor, himself, Hunter S. Thompson. May he rest in peace. ‘Mahalo.’
Cast in negative and color corrected using my bare-bones b.s. imaging software.

Nice imagery and use of hatching to create textures. I actually lived in Dover, NJ for about 7 years. Didn’t think too many people in that area even knew who Hunter S Thompson was….
Very nice indeed….

That’s a good one. If I’m not mistaken, Johnny Depp and Benny Del Toro are trying like Hell to get it made into a movie, as we speak. Then again, they’ve been trying to get that thing off the ground for about 10 years, now.

you are correct. i think they’re trying, but running into problems. Hunter is on my list of portraits to do, right up there with Perry Farrell and walt whitman lol
